Have questions about how ReClaim It works?
We’ve put together answers to the most common questions about donating, dropping off, or arranging pickup of reusable building materials. Click each section below to learn more about how the program works, what we accept, and how you can get involved.
Did you know approximately 80% of Minnesota’s construction and demolition waste is currently disposed of in landfills? Salvaging items helps keep these materials out of the waste stream. Reclaim-it collects salvaged material from residents to create an inventory for home renovation projects. Save money on your next home improvement project by using deconstruction materials and help us keep these usable items out of the landfill.
There are two locations you can find reclaim-it materials. Most items will be at the Home Again Furnishings store in Waconia. They are located at 224 W 1st Street, Waconia MN 55387 and are open Wednesdays 12-4PM, Thursdays 10-6PM, Fridays 10-4PM, Saturdays 10-6PM, Sundays 12-4PM.
The other location is Nordic Waste in Norwood Young America. They are located at 747 Tacoma Trail, Norwood MN 55368 and are open Monday and Thursday 12 –3pm. All items at this location are free.
You can either donate to Home Again Furnishings store in Waconia Thursdays 12-6PM, Fridays & Saturdays 10-4PM, or the Nordic Waste site in Norwood Young America Monday and Thursday 12 –3pm.
All donated items should be in clean, working condition and include all parts. We cannot accept items that have rust, broken parts or mold. The list of accepted items is intended as a guideline only.
To ensure your donation is appropriate, anyone interested in donating must first obtain pre-approval by proving information on material by approval notification. To obtain approval, please email: [email protected]
